From The Dust Arise

Shake yourself from the dust and arise; be seated, O Jerusalem; loose the bonds from your neck, O captive daughter of Zion. Isaiah 52:2

New Venture

It's an adventure. I went to Colorado this past weekend with some great people. I took some bridals with my good friend Munson. I've always loved photography but never had the opportunity to do anything like this. It was the most beautiful and inspiring thing I've done in a long time. That being said, I will slowly be building my portfolio and hoping to someday launch  a part time photography business. If you want some amateur pics of you, your family or your pets let me know I would love to come take them for free!!!!

Below are some samples. I also took a lot of them in Landscape page layout as opposed to portrait but my blog wouldn't let me post them because they were too big. Sad day. I hope you enjoy the portrait layouts below.

Merchant of Souls

On my goodness how time flies! Just after my last post I took an impromptu vacation to the Grand Canyon with my little brother. Oh man it was a blast!!!!! The beauty of the landscape it’s vastness and depth took my breath away. Like many others before me I saw the wonder of the canyon and was in awe. I saw it and thought how big my God must be and how intriguing he is to put this beautiful hole in the ground every tree, valley and grain of sand pointed to him in praise of the creator. What a blessing!!!

Shortly after returning to the booming metropolis of Lubbock another life altering event took place. Some of my friend getting their degrees at Texas Tech University saw an announcement for the showing of a documentary. It sounded interesting so we loaded up in a car and headed to the Allen Theater to see the said documentary. When we go there we were surprised to see a local Christian Organization was hosting the event. Encouraged by this it only made me more anxious to see what this film could be about.

The lights dimmed and the film started “Nefarious: Merchant of Souls.” IT is the first in a trilogy of documentaries exposing the depths of modern day slavery, human trafficking and the sex industry. There has not been a single day since seeing the film that I have not wanted to know more about this epidemic and how to stop it. God has burdened me for this cause and I am ruined to my pre-Nefarious knowledge of the deprivation of this global problem. I can no longer sit idle and bask in my ignorance. I know therefore I must do. If you want to know more about this documentary or how to join the abolitionist movement Click Here for the link of go to http://nefariousdocumentary.com/
